Foodie Friday: Crockpot BBQ Chicken

You guys.  Are you looking for a delightfully easy and oh-so-tasty dinner option that won’t have you slaving away for hours and hours in the kitchen?  Because if you are, I think I’ve found a keeper for you!

For this edition of Foodie Friday, I’ve stumbled upon a yummy crockpot chicken recipe and the infamous cheddar/herb biscuit knock-off recipe from Red Lobster.  Lemme tell you, folks, these are gooood ones!

Literally, the BBQ chicken is as simple as placing your meat and a few other ingredients into your slow cooker and forgetting about it until 8 hours later.  I made this dish a few nights ago, in preparation for the following night’s dinner!  {Note to self: do this more often!  It was soo nice to just come home from work and chow down!}

The cheddar and herb biscuits are a GREAT addition to this meal, and also ridiculously easy to put together! Once I measured and mixed together the flour and seasonings, I cut up the shortening/butter to resemble fine crumbs:

Adding the buttermilk and shredded cheese resulted in a somewhat crumbly mixture:

And the end result was a scrumptious looking (and tasting) cheddary herb biscuit!

Yes, BBQ chicken and cheddar herb biscuits go together like PB&J, and I’m so glad to have this simple and delicious go-to recipe.  Try it for yourself!
